According to Consumer Team host Pete Thomson, the addition of Du-West Foundation Repair as a sponsor is significant achievement for The Consumer Team. Thomson commented, “I met Jim Dutton who is the owner of Du-West Foundation Repair about 10 years ago. I was about to spend about $30,000 to have repairs done to my foundation. Jim came out to my home and told me that repairs weren’t necessary and that I just needed to adjust the watering schedule on my foundation. First, it gave me the motivation to start a consumer oriented radio show that would help listeners avoid rip offs like the one I almost fell prey to.
