Alan Maples, retirement planner at Texas Retirement Specialists, commented on the importance of early education when it comes to money.  He said, “We recommend starting financial education at a young age.  As soon as kids are old enough to count to 25, it’s not too early to get them used to earning, saving and handling money. Parents also need to remember that their kids are observing their every money move.  So as parents display habits and attitudes toward money, their kids are absorbing their actions.”

Pete Thomson, CEO of McQ Media and co-host of Found Money Radio, commented on the financial literacy broadcasts.  He said, “April Financial Literacy Month is a big deal on Found Money Radio. And since our program covers the entire 360 degree of retirement and financial planning, segments about learning financial skills are definitely in our wheelhouse.   I’m proud of the effort that Jim Poe and his team make in this area.  It is a great example of a company giving back to the community.”

Texas Retirement Specialists has supported financial education for adults through a series of workshops being presented at colleges throughout DFW. Commenting on the workshops, Levensailor said,  “Financial literacy is important whether your 8 or 80.  At Texas Retirement Specialists, we’re excited to help teach the principles of money and financial success to all ages.”
