‘Tis The Season For Charity Scams

Every year at this time, millions of Americans make annual financial contributions to non-profit organizations.   Unfortunately, an increasing number of charities in the marketplace are total scams.   And equally concerning are the well known, reputable charities who have become fund raising machines that exist largely to feed big administrative and marketing organizations.  Instead of sending a high percentage of each donated dollar to people in need, they end up feeding the jaws of overhead.

Before you make a charitable gift to a charity, nonprofit or ministry this year, I encourage you to read a blog I wrote for The Consumer Team radio program on how to give wisely.
